Godzilla.com Redesign - Shopping pages
With the renewed popularity of Godzilla in recent years, the team at Toho America needed a refresh of their ecommerce pages and asked me to design a modern, best-in-class shopping experience for them. I leveraged their brand guidelines to create a shopping experience that is easy to use and enables users to find that perfect Godzilla item quickly and effortlessly.
navigation //
For the navigation I cleaned up a lot of the previous design. The previous design wasn't scalable and was a bit clunky for users. I designed a mobile nav that leverages accordions and has a search bar visible from every state of the navigation. On desktop we went with a mega nav that allows for all categories and links to be displayed.
plp & filters //
For the PLP and filter design, the Godzilla team wanted the product to take center stage. I created a layout for both mobile and desktop that supports this goal. On mobile, tapping the filters link opens a full-screen view of available filters and facets, with persistent "Clear" and "Apply" buttons anchored to the bottom of the screen. On desktop, when a user clicks "Filters" the product grid shifts to the right to make room for filters and facets in the left column.
pdp //
I designed a flexible PDP layout to accommodate the wide range of product types sold on Godzilla.com. The layout includes variations for products like toys that don't have sizes, apparel with sizing options, upsell opportunities, and a feature that lets users sign up for restock notifications.
