Godzilla.com Redesign - Commerce Experience Redesign
Overview
With the renewed popularity of Godzilla, Toho America needed to modernize their ecommerce experience to support growing demand and improve conversion across mobile and desktop. The goal was to create a scalable shopping foundation that felt true to the brand while improving usability and performance across key commerce flows.
This wasn’t just a visual refresh. It was an opportunity to establish clearer navigation, stronger filtering architecture, and a flexible PDP framework that could support a diverse product catalog.
My Role
I led UX and experience design for the redesign, working closely with stakeholders to align brand guidelines, commerce goals, and user behavior patterns. The work spanned navigation architecture, taxonomy, product discovery, filtering systems, and PDP flexibility.
Approach
We focused on three core areas:
Impact
• Improved scalability
• Reduced friction in product discovery
• Clearer navigation hierarchy
• Flexible PDP supporting multiple product types
